Meet Gary
Gary wanted to be excited about his job again.
This is the place you want to go!
Gary was at the point where he knew he wanted to do something different for the rest of his time in the workforce.
He had worked in manufacturing for 30 years, but wanted to start fresh and learn a trade. He know that there are a lot of jobs that apply to the HVAC industry.
CVTC’s HVAC program was already familiar to him because his son had graduated from the program, was working in the field and loving it.
Gary enrolled in the one-year program and says going to school is an opportunity, you don’t just breeze through and it was something he didn’t take for granted.
Gary remembers being frustrated starting out, but was reassured that he was going to be okay. He felt respected by both the students and instructors, even though he was an older student.
For him, the experience was amazing and after 35 years of not being in school he graduated on the President’s List.
He says it’s been an amazing ride where he learned life lessons, values, and feels he is now finally excited for his profession.
