Meet Dale
Dale reflected on going back to school when he was 36. He remembers being scared.
I think it was one of the best experiences a person could have!
Dale reflected on how he went back to school when he was 36 and hadn't touched a math book in years. After high school he didn’t continue school, and said it was a matter of getting out and getting a job.
But after working for a few years he decided he wanted to do something different, and work with his hands. He chose to go back to school and enrolled in CVTC’s Electromechanical program.
He knew the reputation of CVTC, and wanted a hands-on experience at a reasonable price. During his last week in school he was hired by Cardinal Glass as a Maintenance Technician, and later was promoted to Maintenance Superintendent. Cardinal Glass was having a difficult time finding reliable workers, and turned to CVTC to help fill their positions. They have a great relationship with CVTC because of the College’s reputation for being outstanding educators, and sending graduates out with the knowledge they need to succeed in the world today.
They appreciate that CVTC goes out and gets the input of the industry to find out what they need to fill the skill gaps. They have used CVTC graduates to fill positions in every level of the organization.
Dale and Cardinal Glass want to show people that you do not need a four-year degree to make great money and work in a rewarding job for a great company!
