During high school, thinking about her next step made Angela nervous. She never saw college as an option and began to doubt her ability and path forward.

After working jobs she didn’t enjoy, she decided to make an effort to come back to school and get her GED. Through hard work and the help from the staff at CVTC, she was able to earn her high school diploma and increase her confidence.

She says that experience helped get her life under control, and she enjoyed CVTC so much that she decided to start the Gas Utility program. Angela loves working with her hands and being outdoors, so the program was a perfect fit.

She enjoyed getting hands-on experience during the program, working with the machinery, and learning in the lab. With help from her instructors, she was able to find a job even before graduating. Now working as a Service Technician at Lakes Gas, she fixes tanks, helps with deliveries, and assists customers with potential problems. Because of her CVTC training, she was able to jump right in and be successful immediately.

Angela feels very proud of the progress she has made and thanks CVTC for helping to push her in the right direction!
