Administrative Professional Overview
CVTC’s Administrative Professional program offers an associate degree with an office, legal, or medical concentration. Earn credentials along the way to launch your high demand career!
Administrative professionals are at the center of communication in every organization and work closely with and support the leaders within the organization. You’ll learn how to be an efficient office employee through effective communication and computer skills. Throughout the program, you will gain valuable experience working in a business office while completing several internship opportunities.
The administrative professional duties include:
- Supporting business leaders
- Performing administrative/office tasks
- Developing and preparing correspondence
- Preparing presentations
- Coordinating schedules and events
- Processing and transmitting information
- Assisting others within the organization
- Maintaining accurate records
- Coordinating meeting and travel arrangements
- Managing projects and conducting research
- Providing quality customer service

Customer Service Foundations
In this course, you will explain customer service, assess factors that impact customer service, and examine components of the customer service environment. This course is the first in a series of three courses that provides you with an opportunity to develop customer service skills.
Human Resources, Intro
This course examines the role of human resources and goals of human resource management in today's organizations. Students explore the importance and impact of human resource functions on the overall strategy of organizations.
Payroll Accounting
Students will learn to make the payroll calculations and record keeping, including social security taxes, income tax withholding, and other deductions.
