Severe Weather Threat

The National Weather Service-Storm Prediction Center has upgraded Eau Claire County to an Enhanced Risk (level 3 of 5) for severe weather this evening. All modes of severe weather are possible, but the biggest risk is a large straight-line wind event and damaging hail. Keep your eye on the sky and prepare to seek shelter, if needed.

Parking Lot Closures

Business Education Center
- North parking lots are closed due to lot redesign and construction. This will be strictly enforced.
- Project is expected to be completed Summer 2024.
- Reduced parking in the P7 pay-per-hour parking lot. Fenced in area is for contractors only.

Health Education Center
- Lot P4, south of HEC is closed.
- Closed through Friday, June 14th.

  • Inspection of safety and security processes
  • Safety walk escort services
  • Investigate criminal and College policy/procedure incidents
  • Management of tobacco use on campus
  • Management of campus traffic and parking
  • Vehicle jump start (power packs) and motorist assist program
  • Management of building access and control
  • Training on situational awareness, emergency procedures, etc.

CVTC Public Safety

The Public Safety Office is responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for the entire college community. Their staff consists of full-time employees and part-time student officers. All full-time employees are former law enforcement and/or corrections officers with years of training and experience.

CVTC Alert! Notifications
Public Safety sends audio and visual notifications for active on-campus emergencies. People that are on campus will receive alerts via Teams phones, IP speakers, and monitors.
