CVTC board will vote to post initial draft of budget

The Chippewa Valley Technical College District Board is set to approve posting the initial draft of the 2024-25 budget at 3 p.m. Thursday, in the Business Education Center, 620 Clairemont Ave., Room 100A.
The budget calls for total expenditures of $115,403,675, a reduction of 2.63 percent from the 2023-24 revised budget due mainly to less planned capital project expenses. General fund revenues are projected to be $63,882,544, up 1.26 percent from 2023-24.
An estimated six percent increase in property values will result in a decrease in the mill rate of 0.01 percent from $66.29 per $100,000 of property value to $66.28. The proposed tax levy – the amount collected throughout the CVTC district for support of the College – is $27,368,883, up 5.99 percent from the previous year, is related mainly to an increase in debt service cost.
With more than 165 programs, certificates and apprenticeships offered online and on-campus, Chippewa Valley Technical College delivers innovative, applied, and flexible education that supports a diverse community of learners, improves the lives of students, and adds value to our communities.
