Claire Lindstrom’s brain is always noodling through the possibilities.

As Chippewa Valley Technical College’s Business Development and Continuing Education Specialist, she said offering workforce solutions opportunities is important for local businesses and community growth.

Her role at CVTC is two-fold. Lindstrom works to connect businesses to customized contract trainings and oversees and plans a large portion of the College’s Continuing Education Open Enrollment seminars.

“Our Workforce Solutions Training Programs fulfill a need in our community for short-term, customized training with stackable credentials that can lead to other programs at the technical college,” she said. “We offer the flexibility in training that our local employers are looking for, offering everything they need and nothing that they don’t.”

To make that happen, people like Lindstrom make it a point to do research and meet with business partners in west-central Wisconsin to make sure the training programs at CVTC are hitting the mark.

“Our training programs span the depth and breadth of offerings that we have at the technical college, allowing us to provide incumbent worker training to our local business community on Microsoft Office technology, industrial safety, welding, leadership, and everything in between,” she said.
