CVTC honored with credentialing success award
The Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) has selected the Respiratory Therapy program at Chippewa Valley Technical College to receive the Distinguished RRT Credentialing Success Award.
The award is presented as part of the commission's continued efforts to value the RRT credential as a standard of professional achievement. From a program effectiveness perspective, the commission views the RRT credential as a measure of a program's success in inspiring its graduates to achieve their highest educational and professional aspirations.
To be considered for the award, CVTC’s Respiratory Therapy program was required to have three or more years of outcomes data; hold accreditation without a progress report at the end of the year; document RRT credentialing success of 90% or above, and meet or exceed established CoARC thresholds for Therapist Multiple Choice (TMC) high cut score and retention.
“This honor affirms our faculty's commitment to providing exceptional respiratory education throughout the recent unsteadiness in health care,” said Myra Sandquist Reuter, interim dean of health at CVTC. “Due to the level of respect given to our respiratory program, our graduates are in highly sought after both within our region and beyond.”
