Conversation Competence @ Work

This series empowers employees to confidently navigate tough workplace conversations by providing practical strategies and AI-based practice. Participants will learn to manage their emotions, build trust, and foster open, productive dialogue. Through peer feedback and coaching, they will gain the skills necessary to handle challenging discussions effectively, turning them into opportunities for growth and collaboration.

This series focuses on the following:

1. Workplace Communication StylesWith a focus on self-awareness, attendees will identify their workplace communication style under stress and reflect on how it impacts their ability to maneuver high-stakes or risky conversations.

2. Leading with Purpose & ClarityWith a focus on aligning communication goals and decision-making, attendees will clarify their true intentions and goals in a conversation, ensuring alignment with their leadership role and the team's needs.

3. Reframing Workplace DiscussionsWith a focus on recognizing negative assumptions and stories they tell themselves; attendees will learn to reframe those assumptions and stories to support productive opportunities for collaboration.

4. Communication BreakdownWith a focus on early detection of issues, attendees will develop the ability to observe and diagnose when a conversation is heading in an ineffective direction and learn how to intervene to restore productive discussion.

5. Communicating with ConvictionWith a focus on balancing assertiveness and respect, attendees will demonstrate how to state their opinions clearly and persuasively while maintaining their ability to listen to others' perspectives with empathy.

6. Conversations That Get ResultsWith a focus on ensuring conversations lead to decisions and action, attendees will learn to turn conversations into clear action steps, so decisions are made, accountability is established, and there is follow-through on agreed-upon actions.
