Emergency Medical Technician 2 - River Falls

CVTC and local high schools have partnered to offer students who are at least 17 years old and interested in pursuing a career in healthcare an opportunity to earn high school and college credit. Dual credit academies give high school students a chance to navigate their interests and career options to develop the most successful individualized career path. Credits earned through this academy may be applied to CVTC programs and transfer to other colleges. By successfully completing this course, students will earn an Emergency Medical Technician Technical Diploma.

The Emergency Medical Technician course prepares students for all aspects of emergency medical care, both medical and trauma situations, sanctioned by the Wisconsin Division of Health. Following the most current Wisconsin Revision of the National Standard Curriculum, this course includes didactic practical skill information in the following areas: legal aspects, anatomy and physiology, patient assessment, critical thinking skills, fractures and dislocations, pharmacology, altered mental status, ambulance operations, and more.
