Nursing Assistant Overview

This course is a combination of classroom lecture, lab experience, and clinical practice conducted in long-term care facilities. It covers basic body function and structure, nutrition, nursing care procedures, and ethical and legal considerations.
As a nursing assistant, you will provide care to a variety of patients to help them live as comfortably and independently as possible. Your training will cover basic nursing skills including patient care, nutrition comprehension, and customer service. After successful completion of this program, you'll be equipped with the skills needed for certification to become a CNA. You will learn how to:
- Collect data
- Safeguard patients
- Assist in all activities of daily living
- Communicate with patients
