Student Scholarships
Our students benefit from over 500 scholarship opportunities at CVTC. Scholarships impact student success by reducing the financial burden of education and allow students to find more time and energy to focus on studies rather than spending time working.
Scholarships are often funds that have been donated In memory or honor of an individual(s) or by an individual, family, organization and/or business. As a donor, you can set criteria for your scholarship and have many options available. Donors can choose the specific programs, county/ city of residence of the student, current student vs incoming high school student, GPA, financial need criteria, etc.
"I am honored to receive a scholarship, and would like to express my sincere thank you to the donors for their generosity. This has allowed me to continue my dream of becoming a dental hygienist."
Amber, Dental Hygienist Student
Scholarship donors are invited to attend a reception each spring to meet their student recipients and see firsthand the impact their contribution has on students.
There are two types of scholarship opportunities offered through CVTC Foundation, Inc., to which donors can choose to contribute: annual and endowed.
Annual Scholarships
Annual scholarships are contributed to each year by donors. They are also disbursed to students on a yearly basis for a set amount. Individual scholarships can vary in amount awarded and criteria.

Endowed Scholarships
Endowed scholarships are a one-time, upfront contribution ($10,000 minimum). In this type of scholarship, the Foundation invests the funds and awards a scholarship each year based on the interest earned. Pending the market, we are typically able to award one $500 scholarship annually into perpetuity.

GED Support
CVTC’s FastTrack program provides an opportunity for adults to earn their high school credential—GED or HSED—in two weeks or less. Students attend class all day for as many days as needed. Since this program began in 2021, 78 of the 89 adults who participated have earned their GED or HSED, and 18 of those transitioned into a CVTC program within two semesters. FastTrack programs have been run in Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, and River Fall.
