IT - Network Specialist Overview
Do you have a passion for new technology? Do you enjoy problem-solving? The Information Technology - Network Specialist program at CVTC teaches students how to install, configure, and administer the networking equipment and network services that are common in LAN and WAN environments.
The IT - Network Specialist program will teach you how to:
- Install and manage network operating systems, including Microsoft Windows, Unix, and Linux.
- Install and troubleshoot client and server computer hardware and software.
- Manage various types of directory services.
- Implement network and user security.
- Monitor network event logs for problem resolution.

This course introduces the architecture, structure, functions, components, and models of the Internet and other computer networks.
