Eric Brown, an assistant professor of the biological sciences at UW-Whitewater, spoke to “A Collaborative Gathering” at NanoRite May 20.
The gathering was organized by WiSys, a research- supporting and economic development foundation comprised of the 11 UW state schools, the UW Extension and the UW’s two-year colleges. Brown described research that biologically and chemically modifies nanoparticles. He said the research has applications in cancer research, and light-triggered nanosterilization.
Dr. Maliyakal John of WiSys on developments in funding for the organization. WiSys supports research and furthers economic development in Wisconsin.
